I’ve had a lot of great professors over the last three years, but this semester I have one that might take the cake. Last semester, I had a professor make an impression on me about programming through the fundamentals of C# and object-oriented programming.
A self-proclaimed ski bum who helped build the internet?! A happy-go-lucky “nerd” passionate about technology and teaching? Yep, sign me up.
I have to commend the University of Nevada, Reno’s Information Systems department for having an all-star group of professors. Prof. Reed–amazing; prof. Yang–amazing; and now Ekedahl–amazing. Note: If I didn’t mention an IS professor I’ve had it’s because their name isn’t on the faculty page.
I’m lucky. There could be a bad apple or two I don’t know about, but luckily for us, if one exists, they’re not spoiling the whole bunch.
I’m excited. This is what I’ve spent the last three years of college waiting for. That is, to learn the tools of the trade from the people passionate about them. I’ve taught myself a lot, but nothing compares to the contagiousness of a person passionate about sharing their knowledge.
To Spring 2019 🍻
